Individuals, leaders, teams, and organisations experiencing:
The approach treats stress as a whole-system process.
At a physiological level, the body continuously manages resources through a process known as allostasis, simplified as the “body budget”. Every demand, cognitive, emotional, relational, or physical, draws from that budget. Recovery, sleep, nutrition, and supportive environments replenish it.
When demands consistently exceed recovery, the system becomes strained. This shows up as fatigue, reactivity, reduced clarity, poorer decisions, and difficulty sustaining performance.
The work maps how this process is unfolding across five interconnected areas:
This creates a clearer picture of what the work should focus on.
What the work may include
Ways of working
Individual: One-to-one work for personal and professional challenges related to stress, performance, and sustained demand. This may draw on psychotherapy, coaching, and physiological regulation.
Teams and Organisations: Work with leaders and teams facing complexity, pressure, and change. This includes consulting and workshops focused on resilience, decision-making, and sustainable performance.
Outcome
The outcome is not the removal of pressure. In most cases, pressure remains.
The aim is a more aware organism that can meet that pressure with greater stability, clearer thinking, more consistent energy, and more deliberate action.
